Foods For Your Face

Weird title huh? 🙊

Bare with me here while I explain: today we are going to be talking about foods which have been shown to encourage gorgeousness in the different parts of the face.

Slightly crazy idea but think about it; when you eat only potato type foods (been there done that), survive on chocolate and digestive biscuits, or bathe in twistes, you skin will no doubt break out, and your it also will get drier or more oily, and your eyes may even appear duller. Your hair can even get thinner and break. But what about foods which do the opposite?

As a side note if your skin is being particularly troublesome, look into reducing your dairy intake if that works for you, your lifestyle and beliefs.

*As always please remember I am no expert, except perhaps in tea making.

Beauty Foods

Tumeric – Before buying this make sure you check with your doc as it can be bad for certain people and medications. This orange powder or root, fights inflammation and puffy skin while providing anti oxidants to prevent premature ageing.

Probiotics – Probiotics encourage a good connection between your gut and your skin health. Research into which ones are best for your needs. Also very good for eczema and acne.

Aloe Juice – I must admit that this tastes a bit odd at first, but during winter it’s so great to keep skin retaining its moisture levels. Some people even say it’s good for depression, and being happy is the best beauty tool of all ( besides drinking water).

Maca Powder – I swear by this yellow powder to level out hormones and give me good energy. It’s perfect if you suffer from hormonal breakouts, but please check with your doctor first that it’s okay for you.

Cocoa powder – Check you that you buy cocoa and not coco. This bitter chocolate powder is full of vitamin C and antioxidants, which keep skin strong and stops puffy eyes.

Pineapple – This fruit is full of enzymes which encourages skin elasticity, and helps to stop dead skin cells from forming.

Hydrating Foods: ( eat these if you have dry skin or if you don’t always drink enough water).
