Cruelty free swaps for cult beauty products

Hello.

Welcome back to my little corner of the internet.

I thought it could be interesting/ informative to share with you some swaps I’ve found for beloved and cult beauty products.  I’ve tried to keep them either at the same price point or cheaper where possible.  I have also tired to cover all different areas of beauty from lipstick, to haircare to perfume.

You could also call this post cruelty free dupes, or even better alternatives.  * Photos are from Pinterest as I don’t buy animal tested products unless I get something wrong.

Lets get into it!

Animal Lover Beauty Swaps

Nars Orgasm Blush – This embarrassingly named product, is a beloved one for its universally flattering colour and pigment ; sadly it’s no longer cruelty free.  Elf Tickled pink is less then third of the price, and is a similar pinky colour, it does have less staying power but for around seven dollars you can’t go wrong.

Ruby Woo Mac Lipstick –   A red lipstick thats loved by everyone from Dita Von Teese to Miranda Kerrr, but Mac is owned by Estee Lauder.  Anastasia Beverly Hill’s has a wonderful red, blue based, matte lipstick also called Ruby, which is incredibly similar to Ruby Woo and is a similar price point.

Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation – One of my favourite You-tubers; In the Frow loves the foundation and I wish it was cruelty free.  I have found a lovely, silky, light foundation in the form of Gressa Skin Minimalist Corrective Serum Foundation, which I think would be very similar to the Giorgio one, and is the same price. It also contains heaps of skin loving vitamins which is wonderful.

Maybeline Great Lash Mascara –  Lily Lolo Natural mascara is a lash-defining, lengthening and thickening mascara that’s gentle on sensitive eyes, and is very similar to the Maybeline formula. Its also great if you wear contact lenses and is around the same price.

Benefit Benetint – Try out 100% Pure Fruit Pigmented Lip & Cheek Stain in Cherry instead of Benetint, for a similar poppy red, to brighten up your cheeks and lips. This lovely product is made mostly from fruit and vegetable pigments which is pretty cool too, and is ten dollars cheaper then the Benefit one.

Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat – Everyone woman and their dog rave about this concealer which is made by a non cruelty free brand, and beauty house.  Milani’s HD concealer is a fraction of the price, and provides a similar, brightening, stand out concealing effect. Get around it!

Clinique Chubby Stick – Cliniques fat pencil shaped coloured lip balm is a product with a cult following but harms our bunny friends. A great and almost exact dupe is Tarte’s lipsurgence skintuitive lip tint;  it only comes in one shade but it mixes to your own lip colour to create a unique, lovely, natural shade.

Smith’s Rosebud Lipbalm – Go for the lovely Honey trap salve by Lush; a great price point and beautiful red rose like colour.

All items are available from Nourished life, Mecca, Sephora, Kmart and Myer here in Australia.  Happy Shopping ❤️.
